Lonely Mushroom

This is a gorgeous wee mushroom found in a native New Zealand forest. Mushrooms like these are a delicacy for introduced mammals such as rats, so finding them on the forest floor is always special and indicative of a healthy ecosystem. This particular mushroom was less than 2cm in height.
